#308 Retroactive parasnaps.io maintenance
This is a follow-up proposal on what was intended to be covered by the Kusama Infrastructure Maintenance Bounty Program.
This proposal is to retroactively cover generated costs by Parasnaps for the last 8 months.

Context:
Parasnaps was built out of the necessity to have a high-throughput snapshot solution to be able to take fast actions. Existing snapshots solution took around ~40 minutes to Download and our solution allowed to restore a validator in a couple of minutes.
Central Topic:
Parasnaps was launched in February 2022, this proposal aims to cover the costs and work generated by Parasnaps from August 2022 until its decommissioning in March 2023
Future Proposals:
With warp sync in its current state, we believe Parasnaps is no longer required and has been decommissioned in March 2023.

As the curator of the Kusama Infrastructure Maintenance Bounty, I want to clarify that the post-paid funding for the Snapshot service was previously approved under the bounty. However, the top-up request for the bounty was rejected on OpenGov, which prevented the funding from being realized. The end of the service was aligned with The Snapshot Service Deprecation guidelines.

Interesting, restoring a validator quickly is a must needed solution so you get Aye from me. Also, good luck against HACNA, let's hope they understand.

Referendum 170: Retroactive Parasnaps.io maintenance has been voted Aye by ChaosDAO.
Proponents of the referendum cited that the parasnaps.io service performance was top notch. The service has since been discontinued since warp sync is up, but we appreciate that the team is requesting funding for services already rendered instead of requesting pre-funding. The cost for this service also seemed reasonable to DAO members.
Detractors pointed out that parasnaps.io only provides Polkadot relay chain snapshots and not Kusama or any parachain, while only providing one snapshot type instead of supporting different databases.
