Dear community,

Having met the requirements for onboarding as a proposal auditor as a sequel to Referendum #67's extension, I'm opening up my onboarding proposal for community discussions.

The discussion post for this referendum can be found here

Context

To decentralize and improve the auditing process, it was proposed to extend Referendum 67 by onboarding new members with the necessary skills and experience to become auditors.

As a candidate seeking to join the auditor team, I have demonstrated my auditing skills by conducting ten (10) thorough audits, showcasing my ability to assess the quality of treasury proposals objectively. Details of these audits can be found in Table 1 of this proposal's document

Getting onboarded as an auditor is the primary aim of this proposal, but the KSM value that will be tipped on this proposal is a token of gratitude for the audit work done so far. (At a rate of 1KSM/audit for a total of 10 audits, details of which are in the proposal document)

Details of the proposal can be found here.

Thank you!

Voted Aye

Dear community,

In the current state of OpenGov, additional Auditors are needed to be able to keep up with the increased number of new proposals. Having multiple audits conducted by independent Auditors will allow for a wider and more objective opinion on the proposals, increasing transparency and community involvement in the decision-making process.

It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to work with Abdulbee as a candidate for the auditor team. Abdulbee has demonstrated his knowledge and expertise in the ecosystem by conducting ten (10) thorough audits, showcasing his ability to assess the quality of treasury proposals objectively. His experience in an ambassador role, scam fighting, bounty curation, community moderation, governance discussions, and technical writing further strengthens his candidacy for the role of the auditor.

I kindly request the community to review Abdulbee presented work and consider approving him as a proposal auditor. He has followed and accomplished all the targets presented in referenda #67 proposal extension aimed to onboard auditors from the community. His inclusion in the team will be invaluable in enhancing the proposal documents, reports, and deliverables audit/reviews, ultimately benefiting the entire ecosystem.

To clarify the governance track choice, while it may appear unusual for a tip proposer to also be a tip receiver, this decision was made because the funding amount is small (max 10 KSM) and we wanted to maintain a more relaxed governance curve. Therefore, we suggest viewing this as an on-chain approval vote rather than a traditional tip.

Voted Aye

Having worked as an Auditor myself for a few proposals, I have seen how Abdulbee works and he's done a good job researching proposals and ensuring a transparent result to those not having the time to dig into the proposal details due to them being very long or for other reasons.

Therefore I vote Aye for this, Good luck!

ChaosDAO, in efforts to bolster transparency within the community, has offered the below rationale for its decision to aye Referendum 165.

This big tipper proposal was aimed at retroactively tipping community member Abdulbee for his contributions to the governance proposal auditing initiative. The DAO agreed this work deserved 1 KSM/proposal tip as requested, no dissenting opinions were offered

87% Aye 13% Abstain
