this proposal is just absolutely confusing mess leaving feeling that you might need to cook the idea couple years more on pressure cooker before going ahead and building it to succeed.

Questions:

1- It says you have a transaction-based business model where you charge users a small fee whilst interacting with the application. How will those fees be distributed?

2- Do you have an on-chain manifesto or is that your "Our Values" at https://universaldot.foundation, and if so, how long are you willing to commit to it?

3- How will you ensure that you will always be able to charge a smaller fee, particularly for certain profiles of individuals and organisations (e.g. disadvantaged)?

4- Are you going to charge an even smaller fee for certain profiles of individuals and organisations (e.g. disadvantaged)?

5- How is the UniversalDot freelancing platform going to promote migration liberalisation for less skilled workers to try to eliminate most absolute poverty?

6- Is UniversalDot freelancing platform only going to support nationalism, and create demand and supply for its freelance job market through partnerships, clients, and industries in Europe, and the US, which has the only citizens it cares about? Noting that in your Market Opportunity it only mentions Europe and the US.

7- How is the UniversalDot freelancing platform going to support global poor?

8- How UniversalDot freelancing platform going to create demand and supply for its freelance job market through partnerships, clients, and industries in countries with the highest poverty rates?

9- What quality control processes and requirements will UniversalDot freelancing platform establish for work through its freelancing platform?

10- What discounted insurance products will UniversalDot freelancing platform provide for users of its freelancing platform?

11- Who will UniversalDot freelancing platform provide free insurance to?

12- How will you ensure the machine learning (ML) or AI-based recommender systems to be used in the UDOT do not favour certain work seeking certain people through discriminate (i.e. discrimination based on profile attributes in your Data Model such as "location", "keywords", or lack of "portfolio", "reputation", "profile history", or "balance" due to being marginalized poor)?

13- How will you compensate users that receive delayed payments due to issues with the intelligent automation?

14- What is the steps and restrictions in the onboarding process? How will your decentralized identifiers (DID) liberalise the onboarding process to support global poor (e.g. waive fees)?

15- How will UniversalDot freelancing platform provide safe and legal pathways for the global poor overcome social control, so they may visit, live, and work where they want, by funding liberalised infrastructure (e.g. social housing construction) and providing medical support to help them overcome infections and diseases, instead of just helping wealthy governments tax them without actually building infrastructure for them?

16- How will UniversalDot freelancing platform limit the global poor from spending income they earn from the platform on drugs and alcohol?

17- How will UniversalDot freelancing platform disincentivise global poor from living rough (e.g. poor hygeine)?

18- How will UniversalDot freelancing platform restrict only risky or bad actors, rather than collective punishment against the global poor (e.g. fund decision deposit stakes claiming a person or entity will not break any rules and giving them certain rights to increase freedom of movement and security)?

19- Have you tried to integrate UniversalDot freelancing platform with other teams (e.g. parachains)? If so, please provide a list of those teams that you have reached out to and why, and the current status of the relationship?

20- How will you achieve cross-chain integration of your DID (e.g. DAOs deployed on InvArch Network or similar equivalent, and their intellectual property primitives)?

21- How will use of your Task pallet where users are either Initiators or Volunteers help support the global poor (e.g. if the vision and tasks involve helping the global poor then they receive certain extra tokens and reputation)?

22- If an Initiator or Volunteer using the Task pallet is living in global poverty will they receive higher token awards?

23- How will UniversalDot freelancing platform help the global poor fund registering their DAO?

24- In the UniversalDot Vision document, it says "organise that diversity into larger system that optimally supports the survival of the system" and "universe creates universal laws that apply to all". How will UniversalDot help to optimise the way the universe is organised by improving the Universal Declaration of Human Rights or making those rights also apply to the global poor, but so they can support the survival of a better system than the existing "larger system" that "forces" the "the way that society is currently organized"?

25- How will UniversalDot freelancing platform compete with or intervene and stop existing OpenGov organizations that have been corrupted with power they have accumulated at the cost of the larger ecosystem and individuals lower in the pyramid of power (e.g. where a fixed set of elites may try to strategically shut down competition or teams that seek to "structure" OpenGov and that may be perceived as threats to them without entertaining dynamism and cross-tribal bridging, by using their voting power to try to pass new laws to shut them down, in order to be able to continue expanding their power)? Is your "The Great Expansion" solution going to be enough?

26- When payments are affected by the upside in chaotic market how will you funnel those upsides into supporting common good funding programs for the global poor, to improve OpenGov, and other initiatives such as protecting Polkadot Ambassadors?

27- How will you protect the users that comprise the global poor from downside risk by providing top-ups or how will you cap or remove their exposure to losses?

28- How will UniversalDot freelancing platform focus on internationalism by uniting workers globally?

29- How will you impose market-based fees and fund dividends based on the profits of individuals and organisations that are highly profitable through use of the UniversalDot freelancing platform where they are serve as a rationing scheme where a proportion of it goes into a per-person dividend for users that comprise the global poor who have assets (e.g. real-world land assets or on-chain NFT assets) that are less than half the average amount owned by each user, which is their individual quota, so they could get that dividend reward through a combination of them actively participating and renting their excess quota of NFT entitlements such as priority access to people who own more, so they would net-benefit?

30- How else will you support degen communism?

31- Where is your project schedule and work breakdown structure (WBS) for the full period of your proposal?

32- What licensing will be applied to each Task?

33- Is UniversalDot unregistered DAO or a registered DAO?

34- Will UniversalDot be non-profit, for-profit, or both?

35- Equal employment opportunity - Request statement on how you support equal employment opportunity.

36- Subconsultants or Subcontractors - Request list of subconsultants or subcontracts that you intend to engage to achieve your milestones

43- What marketing strategy will you use to market UniversalDot?

44- What are your official social media accounts that you will use to promote UniversalDot?

45- Are there going to be any restrictions on what users will be allowed to use UniversalDot?

46- How will you educate and qualify users them before they can use UniversalDot?

47- What metrics will you use to evaluate the effectiveness of UniversalDot, how often will you publish them?

48- Why have you chosen to constrain the initial target market to areas such as mobile and web development, graphics and design, digital marketing, writing and translation, video and animation?

49- In future does UniversalDot intend to establishing one more more bounty programs that request treasury funding to use to create the supply that will fund freelance job markets? If so, how would you prevent your machine learning (ML) or AI-based recommender systems from breaches of conflicts of interest or being bias towards certain suppliers?

50- Do you intend to go through the NAY votes associated with this referenda and contacted the KSM holding voters that have an on-chain identity that voted ABSTAIN or NAY and use their contact details to find out why they voted that way to see how to improve UniversalDot and your UniversalDot proposal? If so, where would you publish that feedback so KSM holders may gain that insight?

51- What proportion of your team are already Polkadot Ambassadors? If not, why?

52- Is any goverment going to subsidise any of the transaction fees for their citizens that use UniversalDot to reduce the fees? If so, is the total of all subsidies going to be returned to the Kusama Treasury?

Thank you for your question. We are building open sources infrastructure for DAO project management. Given that its open-sourced, anyone from the Kusama ecosystem would be able to use the tool to manage their project either by instantiation of their own dapp, or using the dapp we are building.

Hope that answers your question. Let me know if you need more details.

Imbue was the 1st Freelance platform to be launched on Kusama. Unfortunately it didn’t prove that people were interested in such a tool so far.

I’ve noticed your Tokenomics were a bit outdated mentioning the parachain lease, which is not being supported anymore, it would worth updating it.

Have you ever considered using directly DOT or KSM as payment fee instead of your native token ?

@CryptoSurfer

Thanks for your comment. Imbue was trying to provide DAO infrastructure that enables organizations to raise funds for their project. Our tool allows for DAO project management once the project is funded. I see the two projects as complementary and not the same.

The tokonomics is a bit outdated indeed. We will revised it.

We provide open-source infrastructure so anyone can launch the project and use any token for payment.  Our idea is to have a native token and not be depended on other ecosystems.

Additional Questions:

57- How will you be able to democratise access to automated and discounted international accounting and legal research, tax efficient business structuring, and associated advice, and to satisfy their limited liability, contractual assurance, and commercial interest requirements, and to recommend the most appropriate offshore entity or entities and structures to create, that would be suitable for service agreements if necessary, and fit for purpose, for negotiating deals that they are interested in, and that could benefit each individual freelancer on your platform that is related to each of their own emergent development priorities?

58- How will your platform differentiate itself from potentially large offshore foundations such as that proposed in the referenda https://kusama.polkassembly.io/referenda/424 ?

59- How would you help integrate each of the entities that are created using your platform with a potentially large offshore foundations such as that proposed in the referenda https://kusama.polkassembly.io/referenda/424 ?

60- How will you minimise the "interfacing costs" between each of those separate entities?

61— How would you differentiate the non-profit aspect of your organisation from other charitable organisations like https://www.aidchain.co or similar equivalent?

AIWeb3 Community Feedback on Proposal After discussions on AIWeb3's Twitter Space and feedback from the community, the AIWeb3 community has decided to NAY the proposal. Below are the main points from the community: They did not join our Space, and the community is not very familiar with their team. There are still some doubts about how much traffic and contribution this project will bring to the ecosystem once it's completed. The proposal is not clearly written, and it’s not very clear what they intend to do.

If your proposal is rejected, don't be discouraged. We welcome proposers to join our Twitter Space to share the highlights of their proposals. There are also many other Kusama DV who might support your proposal.

GM Kusama Community, thanks for all the DVs and Communities providing feedback, on these failed proposal attempts:

Learnings:

  • — Non-speculative fund asking, use the EMA right
  • — This program is different from the PBA because it's focused on LATAM, the UX part that is for the interest of decision-makers at operational, transparency, and regulatory level.

Acknowledgments:

  • — The time between proposals is too long. Why? Familiar medical issues and operational alliances were not confirmed.  We keep prospecting and closing as we reach organizations.
  • — At some AAG Jay asked me "Why on Kusama?" and yes not only because of fast approvals, but because Kusama represents chaos, represents non-orthodox methods, continue testing and developing, like any new organization or project, and Kusama is getting mature and taking a new path from their cousin, a path on which we need people to explore the chaos and possibilities of working with true permissionless technology, only ruled by consensus. New countries could born over the decades on top of Kusama, and ghost countries or organizations could also develop for the greater good or for evil, who knows, tech should be neutral, right? But people, professionals, and decision-makers need information, and education, to get their thoughts out of the box.

The Kusama DAO Academy, or DotSama ecosystem learning through e-learning platform and institutional alliances.

Kusama DAO Academy (KDA) is an educational program designed to train companies, institutions, and organizations in blockchain technology, with a special focus on the Kusama/Polkadot ecosystem. The initiative aims to promote the adoption of decentralized tools such as multisig, DIDs, NFTs, and decentralized financial mechanisms.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We request 1,050 KSM (~$21,000 USD) 1 KSM = 20 USD EMA= 30 days to develop and launch the program, ensuring its sustainability and expansion in Latin America, for the next 6 months.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GrowDAO the team behind this project, successfully provided education to professionals of big corporations and Universities in Mexico and Colombia such as Grupo Salinas, Banco Agrario de Colombia, Certi Cámara, Tecnológico de Monterrey and Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana.

We acknowledge that if we leave the ecosystem for any reason the community will be affected, that's why we must accomplish this so the community can have it open source and, other Hispanic DAOs or the Ambassadors Programme can benefit from it. (I love this ecosystem, and do better every day to stay with it)

Project Objectives

— Blockchain Education for Companies and Institutions: Teach organizations how to use blockchain technology for fund management, transparency, and operational efficiency.

— Adoption of Kusama/Polkadot: Integrate native ecosystem tools into teaching and certification processes.

— Self-Sustaining Model: Generate revenue through paid certifications and partnerships with universities and companies. (on the mid-run)

— Open Source Content: Publish educational materials for other DAOs and communities to use and expand upon.

Structure and Implementation Plan

Educational Content

  • 6 structured modules on Moodle, accessible via web and mobile devices.
  • Key topics: Blockchain security, DIDs, smart contracts, decentralized governance, multisig usage, and more.
  • Video lessons, PDFs, case studies, and interactive assessments.
  • 1st iteration videos (currently we are updating them to be suitable for Moodle, and zooming into the ecosystem)

First iteration playlist

Adoption Strategy and Partnerships

— FintechU Mx: Official certification recognized by the fintech sector in Mexico, national and international curricular value for the students. FintechU Mx has a specialized curriculum about fintech and blockchain in LATAM, they have graduated more than 1000 students from many C-Level positions at many startups and corporates in LATAM.

Collaboration Letter:

This collaboration will take the course of DAO School to their enrolled students and alumni, and it will be an administration cost covered by the student to get certificated nationally and internationally (50 USD) this is an administrative pay for FintechU we as GrowDAO not charge for this. The asked funds cover all our work for the next 6 months.

FintechU Mx Presentation

— Universities: Exploring integration with UAM Cuajimalpa and other institutions.

— Podcast "GM Crypto News": Content dissemination through YouTube and Spotify.

Infrastructure and Development

— Moodle-based platform hosted on a dedicated server. (Currently a home web server 2500U Ryzen 5, 12 GB RAM) Our plan for the next 6 months is to consolidate an alliance with a public college willing to host and offer the course to the students, and professors.

— Production of audiovisual content and creation of educational materials in accessible formats. (Podcast and video material for Moodle)

— Open Source the Moodle Content so any DAO can use it.

Funding and Sustainability

Estimated cost: 1,050 KSM (~$21,000 USD) 1 KSM = 20 USD EMA=30 days

Future revenue sources:

— Certifications: $50 USD per student. (Academic institution register future 12 months)

— Partnerships with companies and universities.

— Expansion of the model to other regions.

Benefits for the Kusama/Polkadot Ecosystem

✅ Increased adoption of DIDs, multisig, and NFTs in business environments.

✅ Positioning the ecosystem in Latin America through certified education.

✅ Creation of an Open Source repository with educational content accessible to other DAOs and communities.

✅ Generation of new use cases that drive the real-world utility of Kusama/Polkadot.

Success Metrics and Evaluation

🚀 Initial Goal: 100 certified students in the first 6 months.

🔗 Strategic Partnerships: At least 2 universities and 3 companies adopting decentralized tools.

💡 Documented Use Cases: Companies implementing solutions based on Kusama/Polkadot.

📈 Course Completion Rate: At least 70% of enrolled students complete certification.

Here's the full proposal, which is still changing due to community feedback. Please, reach me at:

Kusama DAO Academy represents a strategic opportunity to strengthen the adoption of Kusama/Polkadot in Latin America through quality education and applicable use cases. With the requested funding, we will ensure the program's development, implementation, and future sustainability, impacting hundreds of students and organizations.

We invite the Kusama community to support this initiative and contribute to building a stronger, globally adopted ecosystem. 🚀🌎

Please reach me, comment, share, let me know what you need, how we can collaborate, etc, no one can go further without help, thank you all. We also want to connect with other initiatives, I'll be connecting with them, if you know of any project not well-known please share.

KSM trading recently went live on Hydration after referendum #490 (https://kusama.subsquare.io/referenda/490) approved 33,333 KSM in Treasury LP. This has finally opened up liquidity flows between the two chains.

When transfers are made between the two using the Kusama <> Polkadot bridge, if a user does not have sufficient KSM/ DOT (depending on the chain) on the receiving network then a portion of the asset they’re sending (e.g. KSM from KAH to PAH) is swapped for the native token to pay for fees. This is excellent UX and prevents user frustration with having to collect fees before bridging assets - however, unfortunately the current liquidity leaves much to be desired and as a result users can get rekt by slippage and lose much larger amounts of their assets to fees than expected.

This proposal, if approved, will supply 333 KSM to a 2/2 multisig with signers Leemo & lolmcshizz - which combined with referendum (https://polkadot.subsquare.io/referenda/1479) on Polkadot, will be split between Kusama AssetHub and Polkadot AssetHub 50/50 to provide a base level of liquidity on each network. This will ensure that there is sufficient liquidity for these small swaps and users will only pay the fees they are expecting to when making transfers.

Any excess tokens will be returned to their respective treasuries.
