Kill Referendum #295 & Slash Proposer's Deposit
2 years ago
Referendum #295 tries to kill #287 & #289. People are disagreeing with each other tremendously, but they are still legit treasury proposals. Just vote Nay if you don't like it. Trying to kill them is clearly done in bad faith. So this is a counter referendum for referendum #295.

I would argue that Decent Partners' root track referendum completely refutes the claim that his Treasury proposal is "legit." How could his Treasury proposal be genuine when he's also calling to nuke the Treasury? In fact, the order that these proposals would theoretically pass means that he would be the very last beneficiary of a Treasury spend before nuking the Treasury for everyone else. How can you possible assume any kind of genuine intentions at this point? At best he's misleading everyone and at worse, attacking the network. I have been candid and open about my views on the situation. Today's root track referendum pushed me over the edge. I am not acting in bad faith and I've tried diligently to help Rich, defending his right to speak openly in forums and inviting him to argue his points on a livestream. I've even supported him before by placing the decision deposit for him the last time he attempted a similar spend, plus I helped his quest toward coretime simulation by compiling millions of price data points for him. He's just gone too far now; I have become disillusioned. Your referendum killer is simply a knee-jerk reaction to my killer referendum, I see no sign of originality or merit behind the motivation of this proposal.
