This is a partnership opportunity for Polkadot where Sonar Festival and Sonar +D celebrate their 30th anniversary and provide a distinctive chance to align with a globally recognized brand that embodies innovation, creativity, and forward-thinking. With a loyal and passionate fan base, Sonar presents an ideal opportunity for partners to connect with an engaged and enthusiastic audience and build a credible web 3 project to reach global and audiences. And with the continued growth and expansion of the festival and conference, the potential for a long-term and mutually beneficial partnership is clear. 

The Sonar +D DAO project will be developed by Polkadot, Societal (Polkadot funded start-up), Vitamin Three & Sonar Festival. 

This proposal offers Polkadot to come on board and become an official partner to actively develop a project designed with the community and key partners that kicks off as part of their 30th anniversary maximising Polkadot´s exposure and the project will live beyond the festival and will be activated for the 2 years partnership. This is something no other brand partner will have which makes the partnership one of a kind. 

**Project Overview** 

This partnership proposal offers two tied-in packages that provide unique opportunities for engagement with the globally recognized brand of Sonar Festival and Sonar +D. 

The first package is the Sonar +D DAO, which is a ground-breaking project to create the first DAO for one of the most prestigious festivals in the world in the field of music and technology. The project would be funded by the Polkadot web3 foundation grants scheme and in collaboration with Polkadot funded start-up Societal, the project aims to design a Sónar+D DAO with the help of the community and Guzzu (Music NFT marketplace & web3 studio). 

The DAO project's minimum functionalities of it will allow the community to vote for the best Sónar+D project of the open call and choose artists for the Sónar Complex stage. 

The open call is a global initiative that provides a platform for creators, technologists, and researchers to showcase their work in music, art, and disruptive technology. The selected projects have the opportunity to showcase their work, receive feedback from experts, and potentially secure funding to continue their projects. 

And the Sónar Complex stage is home to the most experimental sounds and performances of the festival. 

The roadmap for this project includes a workshop in 2023 during the Sonar Festival for design thinking under the theme "how do imagine the Sónar+D DAO'". This workshop will be the starting point to gather ideas for the development of the DAO to be fully operative in January 2024. This would be led by someone relevant to the development of DAOs. 
 
Also, Polkadot will have a space in Sonar +D Project Area to feature an NFT selection curated in combo with Sonar. This package provides a unique opportunity to align with a globally recognized brand and a cutting-edge technology project. 

The second part of the package offers exclusive category rights and the ability to use the Sonar Festival and Sonar +D logos and images in communications. The partnership package also includes the ability to hold a ticket giveaway and promote it on social media channels, naming of the workshop and space in the Project Area under the claim "presented by POLKADOT” in all Sonar communications, a 10% fee on complimentary tickets, and the option to carry out PR, networking, talent recruiting, or private events with employees or stakeholders with additional budget. 

This package provides a range of opportunities for engagement with the Sonar brand and the festival's global and well renowned audience.

1 ) 2-year partnership deal: 110.000 EUR (**55.000 EUR per year**) 
2 ) 2023 activation:

DAO expert expenses (hotels, flights, fee): **9.000 EUR** 
2024 activation costs to be defined. 
 
3 ) DAO Development: 
Project lead and management (Vitamin3 team): **20.000 EUR** 
Community building & management (Vitamin3 team): **15.000 EUR** 
Smart contract development and token creation (Vitamin3 team): **10.000 EUR** 
Technology development and NFT marketplace/Societal integration (Societal TBC): **25.000 EUR** 
Sonar website + expenses: 5.000 EUR
