Hi OG Tracker, First, I would like to say that the OG tracker tool is a necessary tool in the ecosystem. There was and there is still too many grifts attempts, especially on small funding requests (less than 5k DOT), because the current Gov status is mostly « Vote & forget », and people won’t care too much about what really happens for a couple thousands dols. It’s a lot of « Trust me bro » situations. My understanding of the prop is the following: • Milestone 1 = adaptation of current Polkadot features to Kusama • Milestone 2 = new features that don’t exist neither on Polkadot nor Kusama. 1/ In the extra features of Milestone2, I would really like to see as a main feature, a tracking of Bounties compostions, so that people can follow where the people are and what they actually do. You can’t be curator in more than 2 bounties I think. And depending on the Bounty, 2 can already be too much. So the idea would be to have on the hand Bounties & Curators composition (+ salary), on the other hand to be able to filter by name/adress to get in 1 single view who does what (+salary). 2/ My question is: will the Kusama Treasury funding serve for the Polkadot integration of these new features or will it require another prop on Polkadot to release the new features on Polkadot ? Feel free to fix me where I’m wrong. Thx in advance.
Hello @CryptoSurfer and thank you for your comment!
To address your concern, the Kusama treasury WILL NOT fund any work being done on Polkadot.
More specifically:
Regarding bounties:
In the 2,0 version, we aim to track and display clearly all the spends from child bounties, allowing users to have a comprehensive overview on each bounty.
Currently, there is no limit on the number of bounties one can curate. It is up to the community to reach a consensus and establish 'rules' or guidelines on this matter.
However, we are fully supportive and willing to assist in any related initiatives. In fact, we are already collaborating with other ecosystem tools and individuals to create standards and other common practices that will enhance the overall experience of OpenGov, promoting greater transparency and accountability on many fronts.
We hope this clarifies your questions. Glad to answer any further questions you might have.
Did you get or planning to get grant for same purpose on Polkadot
Its 3-4 proposals per month on Kusama, you just copy code and model from Polkadot. It's ok to get paid , but this is too much!
I vote NAY for now
