TL;DR: creating a memecoin from scratch, without presales, private investors, etc has been extraordinarily difficult. We believe this infusion of capital can help us achieve certain milestones such as a CEX listing, liquidity for a market maker and more.

I don't think we're stealing from anyone. As noted in the proposal, if we don't start spending KSM the treasury simply burns it, which is an inefficient use of these funds.
And, no offense, I don't see a world in which Kusama will ever be "independent"; usage of this network continues to decline and there is little activity on parachains that have larger sibling chains on the Polkadot relay chain.

This proposal makes sense and I am in full support of PINK. I also believe PINK embodies Kusama and their shared "go fast, break stuff, and try new things" spirit has proven to be successful for PINK so far.
However, if the PINK Working Group is considering spending money on a CEX listing and liquidity for market making, it should not look past options within its own ecosystem.
Instead of paying a CEX and handing liquidity over to a centralized party, PINK could remain in full ownership over its liquidity and onboard a market maker to the PINK/USDT spot pair on Polkadex Orderbook. This would be a more affordable option (no need to pay for a CEX listing) and safer (CEX's cannot and should not be trusted).
What fits best within the spirit of "trying new things"? A CEX listing or providing liquidity to an order-book DEX which has already listed PINK via its own governance voting?
I don't want to make it seem like I am presenting a false dichotomy. Both options are possible within the same proposal. In other words, even if a CEX listing is still in consideration for other reasons (mainly, exposure), the option above should not be ruled out.
As of right now, it seems like the main issue people have with Polkadex Orderbook is the lack of liquidity. This lack of liquidity is evident in the market-maker-less PINK/USDT pair which relies on organic trading and order placement. While there are other solutions being worked on (e.g. the upcoming launch of a liquidity mining program to attract more market makers), including Polkadex in a PINK liquidity proposal would go a long way towards sustaining a healthy PINK/USDT spot pair on an order book DEX.
In the spirit of "trying new things," I hope this a path the PINK Working Group considers. I'm happy to connect the PINK Working Group with market makers currently active on other Polkadex Orderbook trading pairs.

You're not wrong, but the reality is that nowadays, for a token to go viral and thereby expose the Polkadot community to more people through Pink, it's necessary to reach where the masses are. Just like Polkadex, which is a great product, needs exposure because, believe it or not, people with significant capital trust in large centralized exchanges. Therefore, we need to find a balance between the idealism we have with decentralization and the current capitalism and its rules of the game. Extremes are not good for anyone, whether we like it or not, Blackrock has already gotten hold of BTC. The smart move is to play in the same game. I have no doubt that Polkadot surpasses the entire blockchain ecosystem in terms of technology, but in a world where a dog that is useless makes people greedy, that becomes secondary for the majority.

Mainly because we have little liquidity to offer and we cannot afford further fragmentation of said liquidity.
Remember: unlike DED, we've done all this from scratch across many months. If it had not been for a modest grant from Moonbeam to even bootstrap the DEX pools we would have no liquidity whatsover.
As @PinkPower noted, we are doing this to be practical and draw as many new users to the Polkadot eco as possible. Ultimately, we've always envisioned PINK as being a trojan horse of sorts, especially if it means one day having CEXes integrate Asset Hub for easy transfers in and out of the eco.

This meme became egregiously sexualized via STINK and AFAIK the PINK team never publicly renounced it. This would look very bad for the Kusama brand - how can I know that PINK won't join forces with abhorrent brands like STINK if they don't renounce even it?
Saying I haven't done my due diligence is incredibly ignorant. I'm more aware of the associations within this ecosystem than most and I keep a keen eye on interactions daily. The PINK community is deeply intertwined with STINK with many people in the Telegram raving about STINK. Stakeplus is clearly associated with both STINK and PINK - Tom even changed the name of his brand to StinkPlus. What am I to think when he's the one on the decision deposit here?
If PINK didn't want the baggage associated with STINK, the team should have made an announcement to holders to not to interact with STINK and renounce it. Remember when I created DOUBLOON Raiders on RMRK 2.0 in an effort to give DPS tokens a little more utility? The DPS Project was very fast to renounce my project which ultimately killed it. They did this because I made no effort to collaborate with them (fair), just like STINK made no effort to collaborate with PINK. Why didn't the team try to prevent people from burning their PINK for STINK? There was no effort made to stop it from what I can see (I've searched X and Telegram); PINK's complacency here is a major red flag.
The lack of a public statement against STINK has already done its damage. The only way I'll change my vote to abstain is if STINK is completely and totally destroyed everywhere it exists. In the interest of transparency, we did meet with a few folks behind STINK and we unequivocally told them that we cannot endorse any sort of connection, especially after a member of the working group expressed concern over the image and name. Condemning it would be the same as endorsement, but with a negative slant rather than a positive one. To that end, it is not up to us to "obliterate" anyone, nor can we control members of our community who want to be in both (or all) of these other meme coins.

First off, there seems to be a little mis-understanding here as to the aims of the project and the purpose of this proposal. Whilst PINK is superficially "just" a memecoin, its ultimate intention is to be a novel method of bringing new users to Dotsama.
By riding the memecoin wave and making addictive games, the team have already brought many new users into the ecosystem, who have then used parachain dexes and sampled other gaming projects within Polkadot that otherwise they would probably never have been aware of (see Evrloot, Exiled Racers, The Great Escape etc.)
The Pinkdrop and Basedrop games, along with everything else in the Pink community, have been, and will continue to be, open to everyone across Dotsama and beyond, regardless of what tokens you happen to hold. New users benefit everyone, whether your predilection is for Polkadot, Kusama or both.
PINK is an experiment, testing out the theory of "come for the meme fun, stay for the epic tech". As such, PINK is objectively in the spirit of Kusama: namely experimentation, breaking things, and bringing chaos.
This proposal is a (relatively cheap) way to test the thesis that alternative methods can shine a brighter light on Dotsama tech, and attract more new eyes to the wider ecosystem than is currently the case. The money will be used with exclusively this purpose: bringing a wave of new users through increased exposure.
Maybe Pink is suffering from stigma by association with less well-meaning projects in the meme-sphere, but no one entity here is set to profit at the expense of the wider ecosystem, in fact quite the opposite.

Project Scope
Smart Contract Development
- A Solidity-based smart contract deployed on Kusama Hub
- ZK enabled for private deposits & withdrawals
- Compatibility with all Kusama Hub assets
User Interface
- Browser-based, mobile-ready UI hosted on IPFS
- Support for: Deposits, Withdrawals, Transfers, XCM Transfers
- Compatible with popular ecosystem wallets (Nova Wallet, Talisman, Subwallet)
Anti-correlation Attack Mitigations:
- Fixed deposit amounts (e.g. 1, 10, 100, 1000 units)
- Batch payouts for withdrawals to multiple users
Interoperability - Ability to receive assets via XCM from any Kusama-connected parachain and transfer them to Kusama Hub for use in shielded pool.
Open-Source Delivery
- All code (smart contracts and UI) published under the MIT license
- Publicly accessible repositories Project updates shared transparently via Polkassembly, Subsquare, or Polkadot Forum from Team with Milestone deliveries
