POLKADOT SAFARI '23 (Request for second allocation of funds) UPDATE: PLEASE CAST NAY
Hello again,
My name is Sianoi form HER DAO Kenya (HDK) and Safari DAO.
Safari DAO and HDK are requesting for the second allocation of funds from organizing Polkadot Safari in March/April this year. Our request is for the remaining amount of KSM 2,372.28 EMA 30. Please find attached the report we submitted in April this year a few days after hosting the conference for more information.
**Please note that the second allocation is supposed to fully pay off the organizers for their work. They sacrificed their full pay at once for many months to gain your trust. **
May the sky be your basement,
Sianoi

That's was one of the best blockchain events happened in Africa . Looking forward to polkadot Safari 2024
Hello 👋🏽
I attended this event and would like to share some of my perspective.
Many of the participants at this event got better insights to Kusama and Polkadot ecosystems for the first time. We were able to attract a diverse group of African national especially from East Africa and for West Africa they came from Nigeria.
Parachain teams also got to interact with participants and review their projects.
If anything this event proved is that there is interest and will for builders to build on Kusama/Polkadot from Africa. We just need to reach out.
Polkadot Safari team has also been able connect web3 leaders in East Africa to our ecosytem and through this first event they have learnt and figured out areas of improvements.
If we analyse the projects who won in the hackathon they are all geared to solving real life issues in Africa using blockchain technology. If someone is keenly checking out trends in Africa you'll notice that people say that in Africa blockchain is emerging with real life use cases.
I don't know what the future holds but I hope we continue to support initiatives like these in different continents.
This was was made possible by you as community members and it's through events like these we can be able to attract and educate more people.
