Assign curators to Spanish Content and Event Bounty (Bounty #16)
Executed
Spanish Content and Event Production Bounty is created to reward the community's content creators for their efforts in creating content in Spanish, as well as to ensure that the content created is of quality and kept in line with the needs of the ecosystem, incorporating defined criteria for each area of assessment.
This bounty was approved on Governance V1 as you can check here. Now we submit this referendum to assign the curators to that bounty.
You can read the full Bounty Curator Candidacy here.

It would be great if we could combine your efforts here with the new Wag structure. I've already been in contact with I Love Crypto. He's aware of the work there. I was hoping to release this bounty back to the treasury. Generally, I would say this proposal lacks any defined structure to the program. It doesn't account for funds availability, total payments, expected spends, budgeting, etc. These are the problems we're currently working on with the new structure. It was our intent to create 17 language based media bounties under a defined structure with clear separation of curators and members to avoid conflicts of interest. Most likely this will get a hard Nay vote from me due to these conflicts of interest. Additionally, you skipped the discussion phase of this proposal and went directly on-chain. Hello Tom. Thanks for your comment.
First of all, I think we all know that Wagmedia has done and is doing a great effort for the community and they do an amazing job. Leaving that aside, during the discussion phase of the bounty we contacted Wagmedia and some of their curators to let them know what we intended to do and what our goal was: to reward creators of content and events in Spanish in a way quickly and efficiently, and with clearly established criteria. Between all of us we saw that both bounties could coexist without any problem, and that's why we kept going. In addition, the bounty was also discussed in Wagmedia's Attempts at Governance episode.
On the other hand, for us the main objective is to achieve real decentralization, so we believe that there should not be a single bounty that covers everything. Even our vision in the future would be that several bounties run by different curators on the same topic would coexist, so that the community could freely decide where to go. Also, as far as we know, since the bounty idea was born curators can't apply to their own bounty.
At all times we have followed the launch steps that have been indicated to us. Regarding the opportunity to give feedback on the curators candidacy, if you go to the post of the proposal in PA , you will be able to see that, both in the original document of the proposal and in the comments, we already specified the curators.
Finally, we have always made it clear that we are open to collaboration. At the time we contacted the right people, and we will continue to do so if necessary.
Great initiative to create a bounty for Spanish content. It is still difficult to find content about Polkadot in Spanish language, with quality information. It is necessary that content creators have support for the work they do, to continue contributing and building the Polkadot ecosystem in LATAM. The LATAM ecosystem is growing rapidly and this proposal will further enhance the growth of all content generated in Spanish. You have the support of the entire Spanish speaking community.
