To many people blockchain in common and Polkadot in particular still remain some scarring and unclear concepts. We believe that Polkadot`s rapidly growing ecosystem is one of the most interesting pieces of blockchain now. That is why it's very important to spread information about Polkadot and keep people, united by the idea of Polkadot, informed.
**Polkadot Ecosystem PromoTeam in collaboration with Polkadot News **presents the series of 10 videos “HOT DOT NEWS ”.
These videos are short and highly informational, consisting of the very essence of the events that take place in Polkadot, Kusama and Polkadot ecosystem every week.

During only several hours after uploading to YouTube it accumulated about 1K views, proving that this theme is interesting to people.
**As soon as we apply to both Polkadot and Kusama Treasures, we plan to add learning blocks to the news videos. **Learning material will be short and given in an easy and pleasant way, in the middle or in the end of videos. Learning videos will be downloaded on YouTube separately also .
Subtitles: To make it easy to understand information from our learning and news videos they will be covered with subtitles in English/Russian and maybe other languages .
Who we are:
We are the experienced promotion and video production makers. We collaborated with many Polkadot ecosystem projects, like Plasm Network, Phala Network, Bifrost and others. Costs to be covered from treasury grant:
To make 1 video we need 40+ Hours of work of professional team:
Producer, ideas, scenario, negotiations, reports, financial, social networks promotion - Alex;
Video production, camera, video editor, social networks promotion - Vlady;
Texts, news, scenario and promotion in Polkadot News – Olga;
Speakers - Vlada, Diana.
In addition, we use the professional equipment and recording studio, that means that:
to keep quality high we use only professional photo and video equipment with a large number of lenses;
to make videos eye-catching and varied we try to record our videos in different places, but keep style and colors range unified.
Each issue will have lots of motion graphics, that mostly has to be created from the beginning.

To spread these videos widely, we are going to promote them through the following channels:
YouTube,
PromoTeam and Polkadot News Twitter, Telegram, Medium and other accounts
Polkadot Ecosystem project`s social networks (Twitter, Telegram),
Our target is to make this news channel the main news channel for Polkadot community.

I had the experience of checking the translations of Alex from Promo team several times, and all the times I had to essentially redo the translation. In my opinion, Alex did not strive to do it with high quality and love, but simply tried to complete the task faster. I asked a friend who also deals with videos in cryptospace, and here is his professional opinion: "The video is not complicated, the editing is neat, the intro is made. The cost price of a video without the work of a scriptwriter and voiceover is $100 - $150. A scriptwriter and an announcer costs about $100 each, unless it's a video series. If a series, then twice as cheap. Thus, the total cost of the video is about $300". So I would like to see a more detailed description of the costs of this video and where the cost of $950 comes from. I also believe that the 1 thousand views gained is not related to "interest", but to the fact that the video team actively disseminated the video in the telegrams of the projects that were mentioned, while doing this several times with similar text, " < project name> metioned in NEWS". All the times it was not an answer to any question. Here's what a simple search for this video in the telegram gave me: Stafi Protocol group, 13380 members: the team threw the link 2 times Plasm Network group, 4100 members: the team threw the link 2 times Phala Network group, 3740 members: the team threw the link 2 times Bifrost official group, 2380 members: the team threw the link 2 times PolkadotRu group, 712 members: the team threw the link to the video 3 times Polkadot (official), 17550 members and Robonomics group, 437 members: the team threw the link to the video 1 time I consider this to be a kind of manipulation, and I don't like this kind of action. While I love the idea of videos that review the news of both Kusama and projects from the Kusama ecosystem, my vote would be against this proposal.
Hi, Alex cp278, thanks for your “support”. Despite your personal dislike for some reasons, I still respect you as one of the strong contributors of Polkadot Ecosystem. That's why I answer all your unfair statements.
Yes, guys, I am not perfect that's why we have 5 professionals in our team. Alex, the things work like this, if you alone, you can not do the perfect product, you make a team and do the things.
With all due respect I doubt the competencies of your expertise. There are tons of shity videos that cost even lower than 150$. But only the studio where we make the videos, cost more than 10k$, we made it with professional equipment, with professional stuff, it can`t cost 100$ or 300$ or even 500$. If you get information about video making from a Youtube blogger, who makes videos in his room and does screen grabbing, you can't compare it to our project.
What? And how do you think people will know about video if our own channel is young ? We use the links, yes the whole internet is the links. Are these links relevant? - yes they are.
Yes, that's much better to BURN tons of Kusama, and have 0 proposals in FUTURE, than give it to Alex PromoTeam to make something worthwhile, and inspire other teams to participate. Good for you!
