The Encointer team has scaled down significantly after rejected proposals on Polkadot but continues to deliver:

work done:

• Conceptualize a self-sustainable economy which can plausibly be reached within few years.
• integrate encointer runtime into fellowship repository (RFC22)
• stabilize and refactor Encointer mobile app to use PolkaDart
• grow Nyota community in Tanzania
• prepare community in Puerto Madryn, Argentina
• establish an association of acceptance points in Zurich to grow the network and close economic cycles

outlook:

• with a minimal but powerful team we aim to keep the Encointer parachain running and well-maintained
• we aim to focus on supporting and growing the global south communities where our tech promises the biggest impact at low costs
