Summary
KusaMint is a development kit for NFT artists, creators and the whole Kusama community in general. It provides different tools to mint and manage NFTs with ease. We have successfully reached all milestones set in our previous proposal that became Motion 573.
This proposal aims to receive funding that will allow us to offer Dotsama NFT community new functionality and expand to new NFT standards.
Key points in this proposal
- KusaMint Enhancement
🔹 Access to NFTs on Statemine - Mint 1.0 NFTs on this chain. We aim to cover all possible NFT options in Dotsama eco, so KusaMint would be simply incomplete without Statemine.
🔹 Mobile support - Mint/Manage NFTs from your phone. A mobile version of UI ready to be integrated to any crypto wallet.
🔹 Advanced NFT Management - Visual improvements to current UI and more options for collection management.
🔹 Analytics System - While we already have tools to make NFT management more comfortable, we aim to add more tracking and analytics for creators. Monitor and share the amount of sales per period of time, floor prices and volumes on marketplaces.

It would be nice to see how many users have used your application rather than referencing the entire NFT industry as a point of relevance. That way we can get an idea of how many users are actually using this specific platform. Do you have a monitoring service hooked up to your app like Hotjar?
Also, with the emergence of openGov, I'm not very sure if the ecosystem will agree to fund RMRK developments, especially when Singular will support RMRK EVM minting. I certainly would not ask the Treasury to fund my RMRK polling project RMRKDAO. It might be more appropriate to charge your users a nominal fee to use your platform to support your developments.
Thanks for response. We will integrate Fathom metrics in next update. Our whole project's idea is to not involve a nominal fee (which would not make any sense at all if we want to be user friendly), but to be free for everyone to use.
Aim of our project is to include RMRK NFT mints, but not focus solely on them. Although we respect RMRK tech as it plays major role in Dotsama NFTs atm and, of course, we give it a priority.
I hope ecosystem has different opinion and will allow us to continue development in this sphere. We had a very optimistic community and council response during first proposal, so we are confident that we are we are building in a right direction.

Thanks for this proposal. I played around a bit with the site you built to date and I think you did a good job! You beat rmrk team to it with a nested NFTs UI (I didn't test its full functionality). Nice one. I definitely did not test everything and would encourage others to give it a go to find some bugs/improvements.
A bug that I found:
It is currently not possible to create a base. The "create base" button seems to just be a placeholder?
Specifically to your proposal:
You talk about wanting to support Statemine in the next milestone. Are you aware that a new pallet is being rolled out shortly called the "nfts" pallet? From my understanding this new pallet is a successor of the current "uniques" pallet. It is already live on Westmint and will be included in Statemine on next runtime upgrade. It would be interesting to incorporate this pallet as opposed to the uniques pallet then probably.
I do agree with Adam's point on funding RMRK developments through the Kusama treasury but I would say that building a UI for Statemine (a system parachain) certainly is suitable for treasury funding. It would be good to get an overview of teams building UIs for the nfts pallet as to prevent duplicate work. I am aware that parity is building a UI and Kodadot + Singular have also expressed interest to include it.
I think you have proven your ability as a team to deliver with the current site and I would like to see you continue working to further the Kusama network. My concerns are more about allocating your team to the right activities that yield the biggest value for the Kusama network at this point.
Oh and one more thing. I think community has moved to a milestone based payout mentality (a.k.a. get paid for what you deliver). I realise this is funding for you next milestone but since this milestone is very big (100k USD) maybe we can split this milestone up into smaller sub-milestones? Up-front amounts (especially at the dimension of this proposal) put a significant amount of risk on the treasury that we should reduce. Are you willing to incorporate something like a payout bounty (or any other thing that might be appropriate) into the proposal?
A payout bounty being a holding account that pays out predefined amounts based on predefined milestones. This largely reduces risks for the treasury while ensuring payment for proposers.
Maybe you have other ideas to achieve this purpose too however?
Hi, Gabriel! First of all, big thanks for response and feedback, I have noted some of your concerns and appreciate you testing our website.
The base creation got indeed bugged after recent update, we will most likely fix it today already.
UPD: The bug is fixed now
Yes, we are really interested in working with latest Statemine pallets and will continue development in that direction. We are also in contact with other projects including Kodadot, so I'm sure our work will be useful to community.
RMRK is just one of the standards we aim to support. Its influence on current Dotsama NFTs is obviously the biggest right now, so we started with it. But as our NFT eco evolves, we want to work and collaborate with all notable technologies.
Total requested amount for this milestone is $79k, remaining $12k are from our previous proposal. Of course it would be easier for us to complete this milestone as one, but if community decides so, we are also totally good with splitting the milestones and payouts.
