4 Month Funding for Cryptozilla YouTube channel
Update April 21:
In several discussions on Polkassembly of currently ongoing Kusama treasury proposals, which request funds for content creation, some community members raised their objections to the lack of focus on how ROI of these treasury proposals will be measured.
For that reason, I have included in my treasury proposal draft a new section 5. ROI – Return on Investment (highlighted blue).
In this section I tried to provide the community with my view and suggestions on this topic and the details about how ROI of my treasury proposal will be measured.
Update April 16:
I have added in the proposal additional information based on the audit report provided by CoinStudio in his comment from April 11.
All additional information I have included is highlighted blue.
The following sections have been updated:
1 - Context of the proposal (at the beginning of the section)
3 - Problem Statement (at the end of the section)
4 - Proposal Description (at the end of the section)
7 - Payment Conditions - Table (“Proposal submission origin: Medium Spender” has been added)
Hello,
here is Max. I have decided to open this discussion about my treasury proposal for 4-month funding of my Cryptozilla YouTube channel.
In this proposal, I am requesting funding for the production of 40 English educational videos, that would be delivered in the next 4 months.
I am a long-term video content creator about Polkadot & Kusama and ecosystem projects. Over the last 1 year and 8 months, I have released 190 Polkadot/Kusama-related videos, with my primary focus being to educate the community.
This proposal is simple in terms of what I am going to deliver if the proposal is approved by the Kusama community. I will keep producing the best Polkadot/Kusama video content I can, as I have been doing since August 2021.
I tried to provide all necessary information as well as Cryptozilla channel KPIs in the full proposal.
Thank you everyone for taking the time to review my proposal.
I will be happy to read your feedback and discuss your suggestions.
Max

I just want to voice my support for this proposal. Max is one of the best content creators in our ecosystem, and his videos are focused on education and not "shilling". I think it should be recognized that content creators that maintain a high level of education in their content rather than on price speculation retain loyal viewers who become involved in the ecosystem for long-term rather than on price-based momentum. To frontrun questions on ROI, I've always wondered what the ROI would be on 10000 new wallets created versus one Gavin Wood joining the ecosystem. Above is merely an example to make a point on how in many industries, it's not flat (often manipulated) numbers, but rather it's if you get the attention of the people of value that matters most. Quality creators like Max should absolutely be supported, and IMHO, his pricing considering the work and quality he provides is far more than reasonable. Additionally, it can't be understated that he has created 190 videos already, for free (or at best, for tips). His full transparency in his analytics gives me even more confidence in his future as a leading voice in the ecosystem. In my experience, channels like CryptoZilla frequently grow slowly in their early stages, but as trust is built and others recognize the content creator's unique value, the channels tend to explode suddenly and unexpectedly--even if it takes 2-4 years to build that early audience. I have no financial relation and no personal relationship with Max aside from asking him to help direct the NFT Guild. I merely am voicing my support as someone who has watched his sincere, earnest work over the last year (first as a random viewer, actually, seeking news about the ecosystem).
