#2095 AIWeb3 Chinese Unit proposal (爱Web3 中文社区提案)
DotSama社区的各位，大家新年好！
我是DrCao—— 我之前在 Parallel Finance 和 Para Space 担任社区经理，同时也是WagMedia里Bounty 12的中文社区负责人，我是DotSama的长期支持者，并且也很活跃的支持 Dotsama 中的许多其他平行链项目。这是我第一次在Web3中发起提案，有一些激动和紧张。
我想提议建立爱Web3中文社区，爱Web3中文社区的使命是继续建设Dotsama社区，支持中文内容创作者专注于 Dotsama 的内容创作，为不同的平行链项目建立联系，并提供 Dotsama 的最新信息。中国内容创作者可以专注于研究和生产高质量的内容，包括在 Dotsama 中的配音、翻译和原创内容。此外，我们将投入更多资源支持早期的内容创作者，让他们建立受众和品牌。

Happy New Year everyone in the DotSama community!
This is DrCAO, I am Ex. community manager at Parallel Finance and Para Space, and also director of Chinese community in WagMedia under Bounty 12. I'm a long-term supporter of DotSama, and I'm also active in supporting many other parachains in Dotsama project. This is my first proposal in Web3 in my whole life, and I am full of excitement and nervousness.
I want to make the proposal to build AIWeb3 Chinese community unit. The mission of the AiWeb3 Chinese community is to continue building the community to support the Chinese content creators to focus on content creation in Dotsama, build connections for different parachain projects, and provide the latest information in Dotsama. The Chinese content creators can focus on researching and generating high-quality content, including dubbing, translating and also original content in Dotsama. In addition, we will put more resources into supporting the early-stage content creators so that they can build up the audience and brand.

I didn't see it in the proposal, What dialects will you be supporting? Yes there are 1.3 billion Chinese people, but not all of them speak the same language.
That's a great question, thank you so much for asking! Right now, I think we will use Mandarin, as that is the dialect that most people understand！ We already have members in the unit that can write Simplified Chinese Characters and also Traditional Chinese Characters. If there are other content creators with a different dialect, we would support them as well. I would be glad to take any better suggestions from you, thank you very much!
Cantonese might be good to support, but I'll leave those decisions to you.
Wonderful, do you know any content creator who speaks cantonese? I think that is good idea, I know there are quite a lot of people speak cantonese, as long as we have content creator who wants to do that, we should support them, thank you for the great suggestion!

1. Do you have names for the people who will be working on this initiative with you? You only mentioned 4 staff members in the document.
Response: I have a few in my mind who has been working with me in the previous few months on the Dotsama content creations. I may release the position to the public and hire more staff, as we might need people with expert in DeFi, NFT, and other categories who can help with the evaluation of the content quality, and also need people to help with building connections with other parachain projects.
2. Are you aware that there are already strong and active Chinese content creators in this ecosystem that contribute via Polkaworld and Polkadot Ecology Research Institute?
Response: Yes, I know Polkaworld and they have done great job in DotSama, this is also the collaboration that we want to build in the future. It would be great if those Chinese content creator can also join our community, as we have a different focus than Polkaworld but we have the same goal to make Dotsama better! Most of the fund in our proposal is used for the content creators, our community is built to support those content creators, especially those early-stage content creators, we want to encourage more people to make content in Dotsama. If you have any connections or know those content creator, please reach out, and we will also reward those who can find new content creators for Dotsama!

Update: Panegali#1708 pointed out one minor error in the budget as 6 months should have 26 weeks instead of 24, so I have updated the budget a little bit, all others are the same. 我觉得挺好的，我们早就需要一个专业化的中文社区组织 中文社区有特定支持者，他们大多对于英文不太精通，也大多不太懂得区块链技术 我想我们的主要工作是提供通俗易懂的内容，让有兴趣的支持者可以第一时间获得有用的信息 在此之前，我已经从事了整整一年的中文内容输出工作，获得的反馈是读者的求知欲望很强烈 不论是投资人也好、爱好者也好，他们的学习能力都很强，为了赚钱或者看好这个行业，大家都很拼 但是市面上中文内容大多垄断、失真，所以提供真实、有效、有营养的内容成为紧缺资源 这些年被虚假宣传误导的投资人，许多已经将区块链与骗局打上标贴 为区块链技术重拾信心，是一个艰巨的任务，也是行业先驱应该具有的觉悟 因此，我非常赞同 @DrCAO 的提案，并将尽我最大所能帮助建立这个中文内容输出平台

vampsyHey Dr. Cao, the proposal looks good to me, and it’d be interesting how the reward %s work out. Just three minor comments:
(1) Do you want to note some statistics about % of population that speaks Chinese or something similar to assess the reach of Chinese content relative to others?
(2) The base rate of 50% for original content looks a bit high to me, if that means anyone who submits (even a terrible article) gets at least 50% of the reward no matter what, but I suppose you can regulate it so that people can’t be submitting junk repeatedly to get that 50% reward.
(3) It’d be interesting to try to measure productivity in some way and experiment with changing the reward %s to see how productivity is affected by changes in reward %s.

Response: I have added the following sentence to the proposal: Mandarin is spoken by about 955 million people (based on https://www.worlddata.info/languages/chinese.php, and Mandarin is the official language in most schools in China, and we will also support content creators who speak other dialects like Cantonese)

Response: This is great point, I have added the following sentence to the proposal to resolve the concern: "Our team will review the work's quality and provide feedback to the original content creator, and members from our community may also give feedback. The content creator has to respond to the feedback and show improvement in their next work, otherwise, the team may give lower base rewards or 0 rewards in extreme cases."

Response: Yes, this is a good idea! I have added the following to the proposal: "Details in the following table (please be aware that the percentage of those rewards may be adjusted to measure and improve productivity but we will announce it ahead of time.)"
