Treasury Proposal: Production of Dotsama ecosystem tutorial videos for Hindi audience
Hello everyone, I am Hitesh from Describedot. We create educational videos and weekly updates around the Dotsama ecosystem. We started this channel about a year ago and we have already published 34 videos on our youtube channel. Our weekly viewing growth had been over 28 percent which led us to approximately 30,000 views in a year. Recently we’ve also received great support from the Council Members of Polkadot and Kusama through tip endorsements. We are really thankful to the community members who supported us and assisted us in making great content.
Just last year we learned that people want to know about governance, about networks but they don’t have any resources to walk them through it. We decided to create basic videos during our early days and this has helped users to explore the Polkadot stack. They expressed their gratitude through likes and comments on our videos. Our main focus is to teach the Polkadot stack as well as governance in layman's terms to the Hindi audience.
Our first milestone was covered by WagMedia but we are looking to continue the work with a spending proposal.
You can learn more about our proposal from the document. Let the community know if you have any questions. We are happy to answer them

Edit: I understand Hindi, so I am commenting on this proposal with full grasp of the quality of the content that has already been made.
This is a really good onboarding initiative that complements the tech-focused events already being covered by Polkadot India.
The videos have a very well staged presentation and you manage to make the VERY technical side of operations and transactions digestible and interesting for the viewer.
I particularly appreciate that you keep mentioning a lot of ecosystem resources in your videos, so that users can do further research/reading/learning in their own time. This is what we need to make all-round education happen! 👌🏿
You are right to comment that Polkadot-JS Apps is a power-user tool and there will always be a lot to cover re: tutorial for new functionalities. But I wonder: what is your take on the more user-friendly wallets and dapps that have come up in recent time to make ecosystem operations more accessible?
Governance operations can now easily be done on platforms like Polkassembly, SubSquare, Bright Treasury: so users have the option to completely ignore Polkadot JS Apps. Similarly, Talisman and SubWallet have started to offer some of the features seen on Polkadot-JS Apps (i.e staking, crowdloaning, sending), and Polkagate supports virtually all advanced network operations (see here: https://support.polkadot.network/support/solutions/articles/65000068702-where-to-store-dot-polkadot-wallet-options)
Are you planning to mention these new developments in your videos? If so, do you think that making tutorials on Polkadot-JS Apps will still be relevant to users? Would you consider orienting your channel towards General education about Polkadot Technologies and developments, since you have been doing so from the beginning?
Needless to say, there is A LOT of high-quality materials published on your channel. More support from the Kusama Treasury would definitely help highlight (and recognise!) the work that DescribeDot is doing, and also bring in more subscribers.
I am from India and I speak Hindi. I went through the sample hindi videos mentioned in the link below. Looks informative enough. I support this proposal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNDfAcnelC4&list=PLDwr7Vdljp9CpvTKaapvZYhtLHQ4UZLUz&index=5 Polkadot's outreach in India is very very low. Creating high quality education content will help push the information out there to wider audience. Kudos Hitesh and WagMedia for supporting the early initiative.
