ONE-T Web Insights proposal
ONE-T Web Insights proposal
We believe that everyone can make better decisions by the way they explore and visualize data.
From this proposal we aim to build ONE-T a web place, where people could visualize reports without limits, easily digestible and simply accessible for anyone interested on this topic - Validators and Kusama network performance.
With this proposal we plan to bring All the text message insights sent by ONE-T bot to the web. From simple network status dashboards, to a list of validators with several para-validator key data points, real-time charts, as well as backend service that aggregates on-chain data from the backing subsystem parachains protocol and build RESTful and WebSocket APIs to create a seamless user experience.
This proposal also aims to cover ongoing maintenance and operational costs of ONE-T.

ONE-T is generating reports daily since April 2022. These reports are currently only available on matrix and at the time of writing, for Kusama and Polkadot combined, ONE-T gathered over the past three months more than 170 members on both public rooms. There are more than 250 validator report subscriptions active and is sending on average more than 600 reports a day to subscribers.

I'm a big fan of the ONE-T bot. This gives validator operators additional metrics to optimise their setup and to detect potential issues. The APIs would allow the community to create a exporter so that these metrics can be scraped by prometheus.
Disclaimer: we are active users of Turboflakes solutions: Scouty, Crunch and One-T.
In regards to One-T, we have found that the insights that this tool extracts from the network are very comprehensive and helpful for our work as validators and pool operators.
We are absolutely certain that opening these insights to the broader public (and more importantly, publicise it appropriately on the official channels) will result in an overall improvement of the network, either by assisting the validators to assess their own performance and identify improvement opportunities, or by guiding the nominators to the best possible decisions according to their own circumstances so their stakes elect the most performant candidates in the network.
So yes, we will be supporting this initiative all along the way..
kind regards..
