I saw some (what I considered at the time) rather hard comments from shawntabrizi yesterday in Riot.

So I decided to check it out myself and I would like to bring some comments which I hope can help make it a better product/solution. My conclusion is, like shawntabrizi not very positive in the current stand.

I cannot paste images here, so I created a (oh so decentralized) Google Doc... https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZqesY8ueiWF-ouUM-e8mlYLkHQhHIiHnorHl7iIVU5Q/edit?usp=sharing

Since I never used a poll, I will open one here as well :)))

The meaning of the poll is:

  • AYE: yep I agree
  • NAY: chevdor, you don't get it

I would have hoped I could choose the choices and would have added a "I don't give a damn". Because It is legit and good to know.

If you would like, I would be happy to make the proposed tip for you. It seems kind of weird having someone propose their own tip, and I am thankful for the work that you and the other auditors have done so far.

Hey Tom,

Thank you for offering to propose a tip. We proposed that the candidates for the role of proposal Auditor must go through the treasury governance process themselves. This requirement will ensure that the candidates have a clear understanding of the treasury governance process and are familiar with the rules and guidelines that need to be followed while submitting a proposal. It will also ensure that the proposal Auditors have firsthand experience of the process and can provide valuable insights and feedback to the proposers and community. For this reason, it was decided it was best that the vote proposer is also the owner of the proposal (tip referenda) in order to be available for community feedback and questions on the proposal.

It was decided to go with Tipper origin call because of the small funding amount (max 10KSM) and for more relaxed governance curves. In this scenario, we choose a funding track related to the funding amount rather than its name. With this in mind, I hope you can consider this not to be a classic tip but more as an on-chain approval vote. We can include this explanation in future tip proposals to better explain the choice of a given referenda origin call.

Hey,

In the current state of OpenGov, additional Auditors are needed to be able to keep up with the increased number of new proposals. Having multiple audits conducted by independent Auditors will allow for a wider and more objective opinion on the proposals, increasing transparency and community involvement in the decision-making process.

It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to work with Abdulbee as a candidate for the auditor team. Abdulbee has demonstrated his knowledge and expertise in the ecosystem by conducting ten (10) thorough audits, showcasing his ability to assess the quality of treasury proposals objectively. His experience in an ambassador role, scam fighting, bounty curation, community moderation, governance discussions, and technical writing further strengthens his candidacy for the role of auditor.

I kindly request the community to review Abdulbee presented work and consider approving him as a proposal auditor. His inclusion in the team will be invaluable in enhancing the proposal documents, reports, and deliverables audit/reviews, ultimately benefiting the entire ecosystem.
